Long Way Road

The famous and very expected A 1: from Paris to Moscow, or from Adelaide to Perth, it’s the same distance, 2700 km (approximately) of a meditative trip at the middle of nowhere. For take this road you have to be sure that your car is ready, because break down on this region can be seriously a problem for you!

1st day: Port August- Ceduna (466 km) / Total since the first day: 1091 km

[NB: In this total I don’t spook about the road Adelaide to Port Augusta via Flinders Ranges (625 km) who I take into account].

2th day: Ceduna-Nullarbor Hotel&Motel ( 296 km) / Total since the first day: 1387 km

3th: Nularbor Hoetl&Motel-Balladonia (721 km) / Total: 2108 km

Maybe the most impressive part of the road because they are definitely nothing to see, just be quiet, relax and meditative!!!!
The only attraction should be the “road train”: it’s the famous truck with one-two or three trailers. I was like a child at every road train; I really expected to see theses trucks.
Reach a place of Nullarbor, we went to see some Wales, it was really a surprise for me and it was again incredible.

4th: Balladonia- Esperance (390 km) /Total: 2498 km

5th/6th: Break Cap le Grand NP (100 km)/Total: 2598 km

In Esperance, we met a huge family: four children and his parents who travel around the world since more than seven years, and that just in car. It was really a life lesson: when you want do something that the proof that you can!
Birthday time: we stopped the road for one day to enjoy the birthday of Jym on a beautiful NP. This party should be one of the best “drunk moments” of this trip (joke): if you want to try a new game, you have to try this: the Broom game. The rule is easy stare at the top of broom and turn ten times. Then put the broom on the ground and jump it!!! Have fun!
On this national park, we sought the whitest sand of all Australia, again a beautiful and very expected moment.

7th: Esperance-Ravensthorpe(186 km)/ Total: 2784 km

8th: Ravensthorpe-Borden (Via Hyden) (408 Km)/ Total: 3192 km

9th: Borden-Walpole (236 km)/ Total: 3428 km

10th: Walpole-Margaret River via Pemberton (276 km)/ Total: 3704 km

The last days before Margaret River we enjoy some other huge things like: wave rock (a rock that have the form of a wave), a tree top walk (a walk perch at 40 meter) and a walk on the middle of giant eucalyptus where it’s possible to climb some of them. Absolutely fun, imagine climb a tree until its top (60 meter for the higher) with any real security and enjoy a beautiful view at these top.

11-16th Broken Down Margaret River (O km)/ Total: 3704 Km…and $1300 to fix my fucking car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay and now Margaret River, at the beginning it was just for enjoy a little bit the civilization but finally that was just a nightmare for me! On the road to Margaret my car started to make something wrong! So reach place of this city, I called again the RAA (my lovely assistance). Then, they put my car to a garage…..and surprise at the end of the day they said me that my fucking injector pump was fuck, so $1300 to fix. Congratulation to my van, it have the record of the most expensive fix since the beginning (youpiiiiiii).
So after this good news we tried to have a second opinion, exactly like in Adelaide, but unfortunately this time that was apparently true. So finally, we waited one week with Pierre on the fucking civilization (the joke!!!).
